Nick Nwolisa

Nick Nwolisa is a Nigerian-born educator, writer, and economic analyst whose work reflects a rich blend of science, the humanities, and global experiences. A 21st-century migrant with deep Igbo roots, he brings a multidisciplinary lens to his teaching, writing, and research. Trained in biochemistry and journalism, Nick holds dual master’s degrees from ADA University and the Maastricht School of Management, and is currently pursuing a PhD in World Economy. He lectures in economics, mentors aspiring entrepreneurs, and has held advisory roles across public, private, and nonprofi t sectors—ranging from founding BACIT to consulting for UNICEF and ANAS High-Tech Park. A passionate advocate for post-conflict recovery, his writings on landmine survivors have appeared in academic journals. In his 2017 TEDx talk, Nick called on audiences to “stand out and embrace diverse perspectives”—a philosophy that reflects his global journey through various cultures. His book, My Trip to Karabakh, offers a powerful insight on identity, resilience, and belonging. Through each chapter, he amplifi es the values of empathy, inclusion, and hope.
